Confused Flip-Flopper

I just noticed over this weekend, that I’m one confused flip-flopper when it comes to politics and voting. People are talking a lot these days (as they should) about who they are going to vote for and it comes up a lot. But when people ask me who I’m going to vote for, I can honestly say I don’t know. Then all hell breaks loose because that individual has to tell me who they’re voting for and why I should vote for their choice. I then find myself arguing for the other candidate and it doesn’t matter who it is. I’ve stood up for both Obama and McCain and even at one point for Hilary Clinton.

First off let me just say that I’m sick of people asking others who they are going to vote for and getting upset with that person’s choice. Hello!?!? Welcome to Democracy! This person has the right to vote for which candidate suites them. Not everyone has the same views in life, so they’re probably not going to vote the way you do. I’ve seen so many arguments and broken friendships over this election and to me it’s just ridiculous.

As for me, I probably will not decided who I’m voting for until the day before I go to the polls and even then I’ve joked about tossing a coin to make my final decision. Honestly, I don’t care for any of the candidates, I feel that each one of them was thrown into the ring to fight, but none came with the proper equipment.

I usually vote republican, and I am a registered republican; but both parties are getting more and more Socialist—which scares the crap out of me. When it comes right down to it, If I can't in good conscious vote for Democrat or Republican, I vote Constitution or Libertarian, because those parties reflect my true beliefs better anyway.

I totally agree - everyone should be entitled to their own opinion. It made me chuckle to think of you flip flopping every time you talked to someone, though. Reminds me of someone not liking something until someone else didn't like it and then suddenly you feel like you have to defend it. Am I making sense? It makes sense in my head.... :)

I just like a good debate and this seems to be the best subject to bring one on.

I can't believe you even defended Hilary once, lol!
But really everyone should have a choice and not get badgered for it.
