The House Bunny
Rated PG-13
94 Minutes
Nicole’s Rating: B

Another girl’s night dollar show that was well worth it! This movie was one of those we went to because it was the only one we haven’t seen and we ended up having a good time.

A Playboy Bunny, Shelly, has been kicked out of the Playboy mansion the day after her 27th birthday, because she’ getting old and someone younger will be replacing her. This is leaving her homeless and has her trying to start over with life. She finds a sorority that needs a house mother and the good times start. Shelly turns the dorky, socially awkward girls into the hottest things on campus.

This movie really did surprise me. Yes it sounds like your typical nerd to beauty queen show, but this one actually sent out some good messages. I thought that Shelly would be your typical dumb blonde that doesn’t know much about the real world, but she ends up showing us that she just has a different way of thinking, very caring and is actually very motivated to help others.

Watching this movie, I can tell the sexes will watch it for different reasons. The men will get a load of eye-candy as Playboy centerfolds make appearances and women will love the storyline for a chick flick. I’d suggest this mostly for a girls night as most women will relate to at least one of girls depicted in the show and the witty one-liners will keep you laughing.
