In fact I didn't think I would because it's a "Vampire book" but I really liked the sugary-ness of it!orangemilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02507791392096048528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5023161594201765184.post-66329941230827920282008-08-18T11:47:00.000-06:002008-08-18T11:47:00.000-06:00I think part of the reason this series is that pop...I think part of the reason this series is that popular is because it's a different kind of vampire story without focusing too much on the parts that are more appealing to men (generally) and focusing on parts that are (generally) more appealing to women. I picked up the first one after Amazon.com recommended it to me and enjoyed it well enough, but there was nothing sophisticated about the storyline. It is basic easy reading and I can kind of relate to Bella's klutzy nature & feeling like the person who likes you is way too good for you. I will say that I must be behind the times, because I swear I didn't really hear all the hype until I was done with the second book-- when the talk of the last book being released soon hit my ears.

I am jealous of Stephanie's success. I hope I can do something like this (on some level or another) with my writing one day. I think that part of why I'm still reading it is to foster my own creative juices.Debrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09742678442997900246noreply@blogger.com
